Christmas at the Visitor Centre
The Visitor Centre will have a distinctly festive feel to it this December…
Not only will you be able to discover the incredible story of King Richard III but you can also take part in a number of seasonal activities.
On selected dates throughout December you can enjoy a tasty treat when you join us for a traditional three-course Christmas lunch with all the trimmings, in historical surroundings.
On Saturday 3rd and 17th December we will be hosting wreath-making workshops, led by Rosemary Hughes, official nosegay provider to the Queen. Rosemary also provided the floral arrangements for the reinterment of King Richard III. All materials are provided and admission to the Visitor Centre and refreshments are included in the price.
As Christmas Day approaches, younger visitors make their own Christmas decorations. From 19th until 23rd December, children will be able to create a festive decoration using baked citrus fruit, painted walnuts, herbs and seasonal spices which can be tied up with ribbon to create hanging ornament. The decoration making drop-in activity is included in admission to the Visitor Centre and runs from 11am until 2pm each day.
If you’re in charge of organising your company’s Christmas party, why not join us for an exclusive festive reception? Our festive canapés reception includes a selection of tempting savoury or sweet bites or, if you’re looking to start your evening with informal pre-dinner drinks, choose our drinks reception with mulled wine and mini mince pies.
And if you’re looking for Christmas gift ideas that have a distinct Richard III theme, a range of gifts, including Gift Tickets, are available from the Visitor Centre shop, priced for pocket money budgets and upwards.
