Experience the grisly side of medieval life this half term…

This Half Term at the Visitor Centre younger visitors will be able to get their very own grisly medieval war wound with our medieval make up and discover more about how King Richard III died on the battlefield.

Pox, Scars & Battle Wounds runs from Saturday 11th to Sunday 19th February, from 11am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm and our very own make-up artist will be on hand to decorate visitors with boils, wounds and scars!

Visitors can find out more about the injuries Richard III received at the Battle of Bosworth and the weapons used to inflict them on him with a 3D interactive skeleton as well the incredible story of Richard’s life, his death and the discovery of his remains. No visit is complete without seeing the actual place where the king’s remains lay undiscovered in a car park for over 500 years.

The Pox, Scars & Battle Wounds event is included in admission to the Visitor Centre.

Don’t forget – once purchased, your tickets are valid for a whole year and can be used to make return visits on any day the Centre is open.
