The Missing Years Rose Pin

Please note that the limited edition pins have now sold out. A non-limited edition rose pin is available for £14.85 and can be purchased from the Visitor Centre shop or by calling 0116 229 4132 (9:30am – 4pm Monday to Friday) or by email.

An exclusive, limited edition product has been launched, to mark the reinterment of King Richard III.

The Missing Years Rose pin has been designed and produced by a Leicester jewellery maker and reflects the white rose, an emblem of Richard III. Each pin will be numbered to mark every year the king’s remains lay undiscovered and those up until the year of re-interment.

Made exclusively for the King Richard III Visitor Centre, the roses are the creation of Lindsey Martin from Instinct UK. Lindsey was born in Leicester and has been making jewellery for over 10 years in her Loseby Lane shop, Mosaic.

Each rose is hand crafted from polymer clay, assembled petal by petal, with nine petals making up the pin. A brass scroll is attached to each pin and has “RIII” stamped on it, using a traditional hand stamp and hammer. Finally, the rose and scroll is set on a silver plated brooch stick pin.

All of the materials used in the production of the Missing Years Rose pins are sourced in the UK and each pin takes Lindsey 30 minutes to create.

The pins have been assigned a specific memorial year number starting with 1485, through to 2015 and will be presented in a box, on an individually numbered card.

The pins are on sale for £29.99 plus postage and packaging and can only be purchased by calling 0116 229 4132 (9:30am – 4pm Monday to Friday) or by email
