Knight’s Shield Making
St George’s Day Festival - Free
Make your own medieval shield from recycled materials, decorate and embellish them using our templates and craft materials and be ready for battle, or to defend yourself from a dragon!?

Medieval Monster Making

Do not be scared, attend the medieval monster workshop, surely select thy body bits, colour thy partes in, cutteth them up, and sticketh them backe together, to maketh your very own Medieval Monster!

Sword Master
St George’s Day Festival - Free
Our very own Sword Master will be in his armour demonstrating sword techniques and answering any questions you have about medieval weaponry and armour.

Rex Factor: Lost In Time
Every Day - Free

Exclusively available at the King Richard III Visitor Centre, the Rex Factor App is free to download and play. Help our time traveller trapped in the medieval period, get back to the present day. Rex Factor: Lost In Time

Wild Boar Hunt
Every Day - Free
For all our younger visitors (aged 3-6), go on a Boar Hunt and find all the Boars hidden around the King Richard III Visitor Centre, some are in plain sight, others are more disguised, collect your reward when you have found them all.

Richard III Quest
Every Day - Free
For the young people (aged 7-12) and those young at heart, go on a Medieval Quest with our activity sheet, you will need to investigate and do your research to complete all the tasks, collect your reward when you have competed your Quest.

Dressing Up Area
Every Day - Free
Dress up as a knight, a princess, a monk, an archaeologist or even a scientist! We have an extensive range of dressing up outfits where you can create hundreds of different looks for that perfect selfie moment.

Shield Rubbing
Every Day - Free
Make a rubbing of one of the many heraldic shields that represent just some of the families involved in the Wars of the Roses, take it home with you or pin it up in our Arts & Craft Area.

Arts & Crafts Area
Every Day - Free
In the White Boar Café we have a dedicated Arts & Crafts Area where you can make a crown, colour in one of our pictures, or make your very own artistic creation with the materials supplied, feel free to take it home with you or pin it up in the gallery. There is also a large chalk board for those that want to doodle on a larger scale.

Corporate Events
The King Richard III Visitor Centre can host a range of corporate and private hire events. More information
