The award-winning King Richard III Visitor Centre is a unique backdrop for your event.
In the city centre of Leicester, the place where tourism began, opposite Leicester Cathedral in the very heart of Leicester’s Old Town with the iconic statue of Richard III overlooking your arrival, make your event part of our history.
We can host a whole range of functions and occasions, from meetings and exclusive tours, canapés receptions and talks hosted by a local expert, to dinner dates fit for royalty and medieval dancing events that wouldn’t be out of place in the Grey Friar’s precinct in the 16th Century.
The King’s Suite is the primary venue within the King Richard III Visitor Centre. Formerly a Victorian grammar school library, the room is on the first floor and is still a place of peace and calm, just a few feet away from the exciting exhibition about the greatest detective story ever told.
Natural light is abundant in the King’s Suite, with plenty of Victorian character, wooden floorboards, sash windows and high beamed ceilings create a beautiful location, with all the mod cons, presentation and audio-visual equipment, and its own bar, making it a quality venue for conferences, meetings, launches and receptions.
In the evenings the whole site is available to hire, giving your guests exclusive private access to the exhibitions including the grave site, with the opportunity to include KRIII’s White Boar Café and the idyllic KRIII Courtyard in your booking, providing relaxed quality informal breakout space to compliment your formal event booking in the King’s Suite above.
The site is fully accessible with level access throughout, ambulent and disabled toilet facilities and a fully accessible lift to all floors.
