Step away from the bustle of Leicester’s busy shopping streets and travel back 600 years into Leicester Guildhall, one of the best-preserved timber framed halls in the country. Opposite the King Richard III Visitor Centre and next to Leicester Cathedral. General entry is free to all.

Newarke Houses Museum and Gardens
Two of Leicester’s most interesting historic houses, now form the Newarke Houses social history and regimental museum. Entry is free except on event days.

National Space Centre
The National Space Centre has interactive galleries and hands on science, where you can discover the past, present, and future of space exploration, next door to Abbey Pumping Station. Booking in advance is recommended.
