King Richard III Visitor Centre and the Dig Pit of Activities™
Dig It! This summer our young (and young at heart) visitors can roll their sleeves up, grab a trowel and a brush and get involved in an archaeological dig, as we celebrate the CBA Festival of Archaeology, during the school holidays visitors can learn the basics of archaeology and uncover hidden artefacts in our mini archaeology dig pits, and discover the techniques used by archaeologists to uncover the remains of King Richard III just over ten years ago…
Any finds made will need to be recorded and catalogued, as all good archaeologists do, and awards will be given to all children uncovering anything of interest.
Every day from Saturday 22nd July to Sunday 30th July between the hours of 11am and 1pm.
This activity is included in your Annual Pass ticket price.
