Science Club 2023

Hurray! Science Club is back for 2023, check out this summer’s sessions below. Limited Places so book now! £15 per child per session, book a second place for a sibling for only £10.

Tuesday 25th July – The Science of Archaeology, 10am-12noon 
We’ll be excavating in our dig pits, making layer cups and doing some facial reconstruction.

Tuesday 1st August – The Science of Energy, 10am-12noon
We’ll be making a lemon battery, and finding out how big a soda and Mentos explosion we can make.

Tuesday 8th August – The Science of Food, 10am-12noon
We’ll be making and baking our own bread, plus experimenting with yeast.

Tuesday 15th August – The Science of Forces, 10am-12noon 
We’ll be making and flying paper planes, and testing parachutes to safely land an egg.

Tuesday 22nd August – The Science of DNA, 10am-12noon
We’ll be extracting the DNA from a banana, making a DNA double helix from jelly tots and making DNA bracelets.

There are only 10 spaces available at each session and there is no need for parents/guardians to stay.
Science Club sessions run from 10am – 12noon every Tuesday
Sessions are most suited to children aged between 7-11 years old.
All sessions include a break for refreshments – which are included
Sessions are run by experienced Learning staff with DBS checks.
