Gaudeamus will be giving an acapella concert of traditional Christmas Songs, they are a versatile vocal ensemble who present their take on Christmas, with music from the medieval to the modern, much of it with a Ricardian flavour.

The award-winning White Boar Café will be selling mulled wine, mulled cider and our legendary hot chocolates, sup away to warm your cockles while you listen to the wonderfully warm sounds of the choir, getting us all into the Christmas Spirit just a few days before St Nicholas comes to visit.

Gaudeamus are a versatile five-or-six part vocal ensemble, drawing singers from Gloucester, Hereford, Ross and Rugby. Members have sung with cathedral and church choirs, and various professional ensembles around the country. They specialise in concerts with narrative and musical illustrations, such as ‘Mayflower 1620’ and ‘Loyalty Binds Me’, the life of King Richard III in words and music. They work regularly with the Herefordshire composer Stephen Gowland on arrangements to suit the ensemble.
